Bridge at the Blockyard

Trammell Crow Company and its residential arm High Street Residential built this as The Block Yard, a four-acre transit-oriented project at the corner of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alexander Avenue, directly opposite Capital Metro’s MLK Jr. Red Line station. JHP Architecture drew the apartments and LEVY Architects the commercial building, with TBG Partners on landscape and Civilitude on civil. Alongside the housing sit 63,800 square feet of creative office on roughly 17,000-square-foot floorplates with 14-foot floor-to-floor heights and private terraces on every floor, plus 4,200 square feet of ground-floor retail and a public park connected to the EastLink trail. Two-story live/work loft townhomes run 1,155 to 1,652 square feet. Construction began in June 2020, the office finished in July 2021, and residents moved in from January 2022. CWS now owns and manages the property under its current name.
