Camden Rainey Street

The Dinerstein Cos. developed this Rainey Street District property as the Millennium Rainey Street, on roughly two acres at Driskill and Rainey, with Ziegler Cooper Architects as designer. Camden Property Trust bought it in May 2019 for slightly more than $120 million, renamed it, and leases it under its own brand; Newmark Knight Frank’s Patton Jones represented the seller. Sixteen studios are reserved as income-restricted housing, and the property participates in Austin’s SMART Housing program. Apartments average 892 square feet and run from 522 to 1,299 square feet. An infinity-edge pool sits on the seventh floor next to a resident lounge with a demonstration kitchen, and there is a private dog park on site. Anthem Pub and Little Brother Coffee & Bar occupy the ground floor. The building was certified LEED Gold in November 2016.
