Residences at 6G

Residences at 6G occupies the upper third of Sixth and Guadalupe, an 865-foot tower developed by Kairoi Residential with Lincoln Property Company, designed by Gensler and built by JE Dunn Construction. SJL and Ashby Collective did the residential interiors. The site held the 1925 Alamo Hotel until it was demolished in 1984; a replacement office scheme, Lamar Financial Plaza, collapsed with the savings and loan crisis, and an Extended Stay America built in 1998 came down in 2019. The tower topped out in November 2021 and the apartments opened in July 2024. Meta leased the entire 589,000-square-foot office block below in December 2021, then listed it for sublease eleven months later; Kimbal Musk signed for restaurant space in 2023, part of more than 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail. Apartments run from 617-square-foot studios to penthouses of 3,250 square feet. Residents have three pools, a plunge pool, a golf simulator and yoga decks. The residential portion is certified LEED Silver and the office LEED Gold.
