All Downtown in Texas

Downtown Austin is the city’s original grid, laid out in 1839 between Shoal Creek and Waller Creek on the north bank of what is now Lady Bird Lake. Congress Avenue runs up to the Texas State Capitol, Sixth Street and the Red River Cultural District carry the live-music scene, and the Rainey Street district has turned its old bungalows into bars beside a cluster of residential towers. The Hike-and-Bike Trail around the lake, Waterloo Park and the Seaholm and Second Street districts make it the most walkable part of the city, and most of Austin’s high-rise apartment towers stand here.

Downtown accounts for 12 of the apartment buildings in this directory, 4,612 apartment homes in total. They range from 326 to 557 units and were built between 2015 and 2026. The tallest rises 74 floors.

Across them, all 12 list a fitness center, 10 list in-unit laundry and all 12 are pet friendly.

Every figure on this page comes from the individual building records below, each checked against a published source. Where a detail could not be confirmed it is left off rather than estimated.
