The Domain is the mixed-use district in north Austin often called the city’s “second downtown.” Built on part of IBM’s former campus and opened in 2007, it combines shopping, restaurants, offices and apartment buildings around Domain Northside and Rock Rose Avenue, and the surrounding North Burnet area along Burnet Road, Metric Boulevard, Braker Lane and Kramer Lane has filled in with dense housing. Q2 Stadium, home of Austin FC, stands across Burnet Road, and MetroRail’s Kramer and McKalla stations serve the district.
