St Elmo Living

WDG Architecture of Dallas designed St Elmo Living as two buildings totaling roughly 585,000 square feet, one of them with an attached garage. The project was registered with the state at an estimated cost of $48 million and built between March 2020 and October 2022 for an ownership entity, ST ELMO APTS LP LLC, based in Addison; Westdale manages it. Twenty-eight plans cover studios through two-bedrooms, from 525 to 1,285 square feet. The building stands next to St. Elmo Public Market, a mid-century bus manufacturing plant converted for food vendors, in a district whose earlier redevelopment included The Yard, a 1970s rail-yard warehouse complex reopened in 2017. On site are two pools with lounge areas, climate-controlled interior hallways, a beverage bar, co-working space with conference rooms, a courtyard with a firepit and outdoor cafe, a dog park and two pet grooming stations.
