Congress Avenue runs up to the Texas State Capitol, Sixth Street and the Red River Cultural District carry the live-music scene, and the Rainey Street district has turned its old bungalows into bars beside a cluster of residential towers. The Hike-and-Bike Trail around the lake, Waterloo Park and the Seaholm and Second Street districts make it the most walkable part of the city, and most of Austin’s high-rise apartment towers stand here.
